    1.It is an example of a simile. It makes this scene more descriptive and interesting because it put more power into that moment instead of just saying “Amos ran into the Eddie guy and they both fell to the ground”.
    2.I think Auggie didn’t want to report the boys so he wouldn’t be called a snitch.
    3.Auggie finally understood lamb to the slaughter because he wasn’t expecting anything bad to happen, especially since Julian wasn’t coming, but then he gets attacked by older kids.
    4.I do think Auggie’s mom is right when she says there are more good people than bad people, however there is LOTS of bad people out there. Also, by saying the good people watch out for each other, she means that a good person will help somebody in need.
    5.Auggie wanted to call the dog Bear because Auggie’s mom compared the dog to a little bear cub.
    6.Friends can do many things to support each other when they’re feeling down or having a hard time. Some examples are helping them through the hard time, Being extra nice, and making them feel better.
