.At first, Jack did NOT want to be a ‘welcome buddy’ to August. This was because he knew how August looked and didn’t want to be a ‘welcome buddy’ to a deformed kid.
.Veronica means that many times, people don’t know they’re being hurtful and aren’t trying to be hurtful, but they can still hurt somebody.
.Sympathetic means feeling, showing, or expressing sympathy. Jamie wasn’t being sympathetic because he didn’t even know what Sympathetic meant.
.Four reasons why Jack liked Auggie are one, you DO get used to his face, two, he’s cool and really funny, three, he’s pretty smart, and four, he actually wants to be friends with him now.
.During science class Jack realized what Summer meant by “bleeding scream” he realized the person in the bleeding scream costume he noticed near him while he was talking smack about Auggie was Auggie and he heard what he said about him. He felt like he was going to puke.
.After reading the chapter “Ex-Friends” I think its Jack’s fault for their fight. My reasoning is that Jack was the one who said mean things about Auggie, even if he didn’t mean it, and he most likely knows he was one of Auggie’s only friend. The evidence was in the last couple chapters of Auggie and Via’s chapters. Auggie felt so bad after Jack said all those mean things about him. That is why I think that Jack is at fault for Jack and Auggie’s fight.
